Winter has finally arrived and now everyone (including me) is looking in their wardrobe trying to work out what they wore last winter, finding those clothes tucked in the back of your cupboard and thinking “did I really wear that” or “that’s a little old now”. So it is time to hit the shops and find some new clothes. Here are some essentials to help you get started:
Skinny jeans – perfect for any occasion, casual or dressy – layer on top for style and warmth. Try a lighter shade of blue from the traditional dark denim
Cashmere or wool sweater – dress up or down – wear a white collared shirt underneath for effect
Blanket wrap – it was a hit last winter and they are back. Effortless and chic, drape from your shoulders or wrap around your body.
Turtle neck – back in fashion, fill your wardrobe with staple colours. This style looks good with anything whether under a sweater and sleeveless dress, or simply worn on its own with jeans. However if you have big boobs, steer clear of the turtle neck!
Hat – grab yourself a felt or wool hat, it is a great way to keep warm without sacrificing on style as this accessory can make any outfit look more put together.

Ankle boots – wear over denim, tucked over tights or be a little bit biker chic and wear with a dress or skirt.
Statement coat – a bright coat will add a pop of colour to any neutral or all-black outfit.
Handbag – a large tote such as the Sash & Belle ‘Riley’ leather bag will give you ample room to fit your scarf and gloves along with everything else. Or the reverse, if you feel like you are carrying so much wearing a coat, scarf etc go for a small cross body bag such as the Sash & Belle Charlie or Madison – gorgeous colours too.
